In this economy people are desperately looking for opportunities to earn extra income. Many have turned to work at home jobs because they have lost their regular job. What ever your motive is, legitimate work at home jobs are not hard to find. I have worked for different wah (work at home) companies like Liveops, Languageline and Alpine Access. These companies pay decent hourly rates. They provide the convenience of saving on gasoline, lunch and clothes. However many of us moms who wish to work from home struggle with the schedules. Many of the wah jobs require weekend work hours. This can be a problem if you have small children. Believe me because I have worked at home on the phone on Saturdays and the kids get bored and hungry very quickly. So the weekend work is something you really want to consider before you go that route. Another downside to Working from home is many companies hire you as a contractors instead of employee. I have done both. If you become an employee do not expect the same benefits you would get as an employee at a regular non virtual company. The main benefit of this is the company discounts, 401 k, utility reimbursement and taxes taken out of your paycheck. When you are a contractor you are responsible for paying your own taxes.
Now it might look like I am focusing on the negative but I'm not. I am just trying to provide the information you won't find on the company`s website. People sometimes don't know what to expect and hopefully this will shine some like on the subject.

Online degrees
Online degrees have become very popular over the past few years. The flexibility and convenience it offers proves to be enticing. Although online learning may not be the right fit for everyone, so far it has been for me. I completed my Associate degree with University of Phoenix but am currently earning my Bachelor degree with Florida Tech. Choosing a University to attend can be overwhelming and it is necessary to do a lot of research and comparison. An important thing to be aware of is once enrolled assignments can be a lot more work than expected. Many universities require a certain amount of log in times and replies to classmate discussions per week. Also, some professor do not allow you to work ahead but only allow that you complete the work assigned for that week. No late assignments are accepted and the words "extra credit" are usually non existent. So if you decide to go on the online learning journey keep in mine this is not an easy ride, it just allows you to learn from the comfort of your home.

Start to Blog today
After doing research all the time I noticed many of my searches lead me to blogs. It seems the way to obtain information now is by reading other peoples post about the subject in question. Its amazing the variety of subjects one can find on these blogs. Its almost as having all these different experts we can get advice from without paying a dime. No wonder Blogging has become so popular. This is what motivated me to start blogging too. Why not help other with the knowledge I have obtained over the years? Im not talking about degree kind of knowledge. I mean the everyday knowledge one gains with trial and error. Those moments we have all struggled with like marriage, money, raising our kids, planning vacation, In-Laws and religion. This is why I want to write this Blog. To post those struggles in which I found victory. Hoping that a little of my advice or opinion can help you find your victory too.
